The council of ministers of Brazil's foreign trade chamber Camex has announced a twice-yearly monitoring of Aperam domestic stainless steel price proposal. The proposal is waiting for the approval of government authorities.

This new measurement was because some buyers’ request was rejected by Camex. They asked Camex to revise the antidumping duties applied in October to imports of stainless cold-rolled sheets from China, Korea, Germany, Finland, Taiwan and Vietnam.

The Brazilian association of re-rollers and bright drawn steel producers Sicetel pointed out that the Punishment duties will harm the Brazilian economy in terms of value of output, employment and wages.

Also, the group alleged that Aperam is the winner in this game.

Thus, Camex communicated that considering the importance of these products, various production chains and the fact that there is a single national producer, we suggest tracking Aperam's prices twice a year, starting in June 2014 and while the antidumping duty is in force.
